Information on Android Devices

Most Android devices are equipped with Rockchip processors and are always flashed in a similar manner. A distinction is made here between so-called OTA updates and image files. With OTA updates, user files and apps are preserved. When flashing an .img file, everything is deleted. In most cases, only the .img files are available. For our PrimeOne series, we’ve integrated a new OTA server. This can be installed later with the latest firmware update, and the updates are then delivered directly to the tablet. User data remains intact.

The PD date, or production date, of the device is always important for selecting the correct firmware. You will find this, without exception, on the device’s ALLNET label in the lower right corner, e.g., PD 10/2024. The device was manufactured in October 2024. The part number is also required. You’ll find this in the upper-right corner, e.g., Part No. A236111.
