Our small, low-budget player features an AMLOGIC S905X4 processor and a Wi-Fi 6 chipset that can work with access point environments in corporate networks and WPA 3 encryption. IPv6 settings are also supported. In addition, all unnecessary software has been removed from the player. This player is flashed slightly differently than Rockchip players.

Update via USB flash drive

To do this, you must download the firmware labeled "OTA." Once you have the firmware, rename the ZIP file to "update.zip" and save it to a USB 3.0 flash drive. The drive should be formatted as FAT32 or exFAT. Then insert the USB 3.0 flash drive into the player’s USB 3.0 port and start the player. The update should normally be detected automatically. Otherwise, you can initiate the update in Android.

If that is not the case, you must launch the OTA Update app and select the ZIP file from there.

Update via USB cable using a PC

No additional power source is required to flash the firmware.

To do this, you'll need a small screwdriver or a ballpoint pen refill to access the 3.5mm jack input. At the end of the jack is a reset button that you can use to enter recovery mode or start flash mode when a USB cable is connected.

Launch the Amlogic USB Burning Tool on your PC, select the firmware, and click "Burn." Then connect the S905 to your PC using a USB-A to USB-A cable while simultaneously pressing the reset button.

The flashing process starts automatically.
