Our small low budget player has an AMLOGIC S905X4 processor and a Wifi 6 chipset, which can work with access point environments in company networks and WPA 3 encryption. IPv6 settings are also possible. In addition, all superfluous software has been removed from the player. This player is flashed slightly differently than Rockchip players.

Update via USB stick

To do this, you must download the firmware with OTA in the name. As soon as you have the firmware, rename the zip file to update.zip and save it on a USB3.0 stick. The format of the stick should be Fat32 or ExFat. Then insert the USB stick into the USB.30 port of the player and start it. Normally the update should be recognized automatically. Otherwise you can initiate the update in Android

If this is not the case, the OTA Update APP must be started and the zip file must then be selected there.

Update via USB cable with PC

For this you need a small screwdriver or a ballpoint pen refill with which you can access the 3.5mm jack input. At the end there is a reset button with which you can enter recovery or flash mode if a USB cable is connected.

Start the Amlogic USB Burning Tool on your PC and select the firmware and click on Burn. Then connect the S905 with a USB-A to USB-A cable to your PC while pressing the Reset button.

The flash process starts automatically.
