If you have problems with the Google Playstore (login), please install the SystemWEBview APK from Google.
The app can also be updated in the following ways:
Update system apps before Google account login:
If you have purchased the tablet new, there is a sideload update, without eLogin to the Playstore. To do this, click on the Playstore APP. The login window for the Google account opens. Now click on the three dots in the top corner and update the system apps. The System Webview should also be updated here under Details.
Search for the app via the Google Playstore:
Go to the Playstore and search for System Webview. Several apps will be displayed here. If possible, only install the official version. No beta or canary version. The app should be available for updating. If the System Webview cannot be found or is not compatible or cannot be installed, please follow the next steps
If the app cannot be found via the Playstore:
Please search for the app via the Chrome browser and click on the Playstore link in the search list. The Playstore will then open on the tablet with the option to install the app.
If the System Webview cannot be found under Settings/Apps
Go to Settings/Apps and deactivate the Chrome app The Android System Webview app should now also be visible If you click on the Android System Webview, you can update it via the Playstore. Or you can go directly to the Playstore. After the update, activate Chrome again.
Latest versions of the System Webview require an additional APK
A so-called Trichrome Library APK. The System Webview was extracted from the Chrome browser so that it runs alone as an APP and can therefore also be updated. Please update the System Webview APK via the Playstore or search for it via the Chrome browser and then click on the link for the Playstore. If the update does not work, you can also download it from APKmirror.
